Ad Mortuos is a brainwave-controlled music show featuring interactive music and visuals that responded to brain signals, facial expressions and body movement. These brain and body bio-signals were collected with Emotiv’s EPOC EEG and then broadcasted on a Wi-Fi network. All the data was processed on an embedded computing unit on Yago’s costume. The computing unit sent instructions to the visual software rig which projected images on the stage floor. The piece was created for the MOVE! concert series in the Department of Theater and Dancer at the University of Texas at Austin.
